Introduction
The organizing committee is pleased to announce the Asian Conference on Thermal Analysis and Applications to be held in Bangkok on 17-18 December 2009. This is the first regional technical and practical thermal analysis conference in Thailand.
Thermal analysis includes a number of well-known versatile techniques for materials characterization such as DSC, DTA, TGA, DMTA, TMA, TCA, Dilatometry, etc. Each of these techniques provides information that can further our understanding of changes in the structure and behaviour of materials under controlled heating or cooling conditions. Such understanding can lead to the optimization of processing and properties of materials and end-products in a wide range of applications such as food, agriculture, pharmaceutical, medical, packaging, automotive and energy.
