On January 28, 2011, MTEC organized a training on high pressure die casting process technology at the Butsakorn conference room, NECTEC building, Thailand Science Park, Pathumthani.
The course was attended by 26 participants from both industry and academic sectors and was instructed by Dr.Pongsak Dulyapraphant, MTEC’s senior researcher. The course covered the basics of high pressure die casting process, characteristics, as well as capacity and limitation of the process, as well as the influence of different variables affecting the quality of casting pieces. Samples of defects in die casting process were analyzed in order to identify the cause of each type of defect which results from different variables.
