Workshop on Jatropha Bio-diesel-Fuel and its Utilization Technology

March 9, 2012 at Crystal II-IV Room, Century Park Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand--Workshop on Jatropha Bio-diesel-Fuel and its Utilization Technology, the workshop that co-organized by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).


The workshop was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paritud Bhandhubanyong, Executive Director and Director General, Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) (TPA) and Mr. Koichi Eguchi, Chief representative, Asian Representative Office, New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) Japan, followed by presentations by various experts in two sessions including Jatropha Projects in ASEAN countries and Renewable Energy and Biomass Policy in ASEAN countries and the workshop was closed by Assoc. Prof. Siriluck Nivitchanyong, Deputy Director, National Metal and Materials Technology Center.

The main objectives of this workshop are:

1.       To update current status and future perspective of Jatropha Projects and Renewable Energy and Biomass Policy in ASEAN  countries.

2.       To provide a forum for networking and information sharing among Jatropha Bio-diesel-fuel researchers with opportunities for future collaboration.

This workshop had received well attention from various stakeholders. There were over 140 delegates from 8 countries representing government agencies, academic and research institutes and private organizations who are stakeholders currently and in the future. The workshop was running successfully organized
