NSTDA Annual Conference 2017 under the theme of NSTDA 5.0: Building Thailand towards Sufficiency Economy will be held during March 29-April 1, 2017 at Thailand Science Park, Pathumthani. The conference explores current issues in science, technology and innovation of NSTDA and alliances. The annual conference also features an ‘open house’ where visitors could participate in the lab tour of the 4 national centers.

At the press conference, MTEC showcased its highlights which include:

  • The new ‘Active PAK Ultra’, a packaging which could prolong the shelf life and preserve nutrient and flavor of shitake for up to 10 days. The product is developed by MTEC in collaboration with the Thai Royal Project Foundation in an effort to increase the quality of life of the hill tribe farmers.
  • Nonwovens, a value-added alternative for modern agriculture
  • B-10, an alternative energy in Thailand which is a result of scaling up H-FAME process frombatch-type pilot scale under Thailand-Japan collaboration to continuous-type demonstration scale. It is now ready for testing in a pick-up truck. B-10 is developed in response to the country’s Alternative Energy Development Plan (AEDP 2015-2036).
