On March 25, 2025,
at Four South Board Room, INC2-C Building, Thailand Science Park,

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Dr. Asira Fuongfuchat, Deputy Executive Director of the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), NSTDA<\/strong> jointly welcomed Prof. Hiroyuki Iida, Trustee and Vice President of the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), and his delegation for their visit to discuss potential collaboration with NSTDA researchers. The meeting was led by Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, Executive Director of the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), representing NSTDA\u2019s executive team. Dr. Uracha provided a presentation on the NSTDA\u2019s organizational overview, followed by remarks from Prof. Iida, who introduced JAIST. The two parties exchanged ideas on future academic cooperation, including inter-institutional collaboration and a Dual Degree Program under the JAIST-SIIT-NSTDA framework. The JAIST delegation additionally suggested possible future activities, including organizing a Joint Symposium and exploring other collaborative projects.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Following the meeting, the Lightweight Engineering Research Team, part of the Materials Processing and Automated Manufacturing Research Group at MTEC, hosted a laboratory visit. The tour was led by Dr. Chi-na Benyajati, Director of the Research Group, who shared valuable insights into ongoing research initiatives focused on developing lightweight structural systems. The team showcased their application of engineering expertise and advanced computer-aided analysis to explore structural weight reduction strategies. They also discussed comprehensive testing and feasibility studies on alternative materials to reduce structural weight further. The research and demonstration drew strong interest from the JAIST delegation. This visit and discussion served as a mutual exchange of institutional knowledge, further strengthening the relationship between the two organizations and reaffirming their shared commitment to future collaborative initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
