The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), part of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), hosted a seminar titled \u201cResearch Funding Opportunities and International Networking.\u201d The event provided a dynamic forum for knowledge exchange and experience-sharing on building joint research proposals with international collaborators. Participants received updates on key collaborative programs supported by the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B).<\/span><\/p>

Expert speakers from PMU-B offered practical guidance on aligning proposals with funding agencies\u2019 strategic priorities\u2014equipping attendees with actionable insights to enhance their chances of securing research grants.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Associate Professor Dr. Toemsak Srikhirin, Executive Director of MTEC, delivered the opening remarks. The seminar included a featured presentation titled \u201cPMU-B\u2019s Policies and Research Funding Support Mechanisms\u201d delivered by Dr. Rattapoom Toojinda, Deputy Executive Director of PMU-B.<\/span><\/p>

Dr. Rattapoom outlined PMU-B\u2019s strategic role in advancing a highly skilled workforce and pioneering research to sustainably boost Thailand\u2019s global competitiveness. This mission is supported through a diverse portfolio of funding programs aligned with national priority areas. Notable examples include the Industrial Postdoc\/Postgrad Fellowship, Upskill\/Reskill\/Newskill initiatives for industrial workforce development, and grants fostering international collaboration.<\/span><\/p>

He also emphasized PMU-B\u2019s commitment to investing in scientific and technological infrastructure, with the goal of translating research into tangible commercial and societal benefits\u2014creating impact at both national and international levels. The seminar also featured a session titled \u201cGuidelines for Writing Project Proposals to Advance Research and Innovation through International Collaboration Networks,\u201d led by Ms. Thanawan Srithong, Director of Strategic Workforce Development; Dr. Sonthaya Chaiarwut, Senior Analyst; and Ms. Nutsupar Noiparsee, Analyst, both from the Global Partnership for Sustainability & Society. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The session focused on sharing practical techniques and firsthand experiences in crafting compelling proposals that align with PMU\u2019s funding criteria, helping applicants strengthen their chances of success.<\/span><\/p>
