A delegation from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), led by Dr. Carmela Centeno<\/strong>, Project Manager, and Ms. Warawan Chalermot<\/strong>, National Expert on POPs Management, joined representatives from the Department of Industrial Works, the Division for Promotion of Factory Environmental Technology, and the Division for Eco-Industrial Development for a site visit and closing meeting to review the project\u2019s key outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The visit took place at Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd.\u2019s Ayutthaya plant, a key partner in the project. A research team from the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), NSTDA, led by Dr. Sitthisuntorn Supothina<\/strong>, Deputy Director and project leader, presented the project outcomes and explored opportunities for future collaboration. The initiative, titled \u201cThe Provision of Service for Studying and Preparing the End-of-Waste Criteria for Rice Husk Ash and Demonstrating the Production of Products from Rice Husk Ash,\u201d was conducted under MTEC-NSTDA\u2019s technical consultancy and funded by UNIDO. Its objective was to study and develop sustainable production processes for bio-sodium silicate and bio-potassium silicate derived from rice husk ash.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The project received support from several key agencies, including the Department of Industrial Works, the Pollution Control Department, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, the Federation of Thai Industries, and Kasetsart University\u2013demonstrating robust public\u2013private collaboration in advancing environmental technologies.<\/span><\/p>

Evaluation results confirmed that the project fully achieved its objectives and was completed on schedule.
