About ICTMP
The International Conference on Tribology in Manufacturing Processes (ICTMP) & Advanced Surface Engineering aims to bring together researchers, academic professionals, and industry experts to share knowledge and discuss the latest advancements in tribology as it relates to manufacturing processes, joining techniques, functional surfaces, and advanced (nano/bio) tribology. The conference will explore innovative approaches, technologies, and materials concerning lubrication, coatings, surface engineering, and friction reduction. It will cover fundamental research and practical applications across various industries, fostering collaboration and disseminating knowledge in the field of tribology. Here are the past ICTMPs:
1st ICTMP (1997): Gifu, Japan
2nd ICTMP (2004): Nyborg, Denmark
3rd ICTMP (2007): Yokohama, Japan
4th ICTMP (2010): Nice, France
5th ICTMP (2012): Notre Dame, USA
6th ICTMP (2014): Darmstadt, Germany
7th ICTMP (2016): Phuket, Thailand
8th ICTMP (2018): Elsinore, Denmark
9th ICTMP (2021): Chennai, India
10th ICTMP (2024): Alcoy, Spain
The ICTMP has returned to Thailand this year, celebrating its 10th anniversary since it started in 2016. The ICTMP 2026 conference will take place from July 22 to 24, 2026, at the Arnoma Grand Bangkok. It is organized by the International Research Group of Tribology in Manufacturing (IRGTM) in collaboration with the Thai Tribology Association (TTA), the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). This conference will focus on the latest research, methodologies, and technologies in the field, making it an excellent platform for networking and collaboration.
