Overview
As part of MTEC’s 40th anniversary, this MSAT-13 special session brings together perspectives from across Thailand’s rubber value chain to explore the questions, capabilities and collaborations that matter for the decade ahead.
Rather than a sequence of institutional presentations, the forum is designed as a focused, future-led conversation connecting natural-rubber upstream, processing, synthetic-rubber materials, tyre and product manufacture, users, and end-of-life circularity. It will draw on lessons from the past, address practical challenges of the present, and identify candidate directions that relevant partners may wish to explore further together.
MTEC convenes the session as an open space for exchange in collaboration with invited partners and existing networks. The forum is not intended to establish a new organisation or prescribe an agenda on behalf of the rubber sector. Its purpose is to help participants see the value chain as one connected system and to create a more informed starting point for future dialogue and collaboration.
What will the forum explore?
- Which future challenges should Thailand’s rubber sector address together?
- What changes are emerging across the rubber value chain—from raw materials to circular end-of-life solutions?
- Where are Thailand’s research, industrial and infrastructure strengths already positioned?
- Which gaps require stronger connections among researchers, industry, users, government and existing networks?
- What practical directions should be taken forward for further discussion after MSAT-13?
