“Biomass and Biochar Utilization in ASEAN context”

The 4th Symposium on Innovation and Sustainability, under the theme “Biomass and Biochar Utilization in the ASEAN Context,” provides a regional platform for researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and technology developers to exchange knowledge and experiences on the sustainable utilization of biomass and biochar.

The symposium highlights innovative approaches to converting agricultural residues and biomass resources into value-added materials for environmental remediation, clean energy, water treatment, low-carbon construction, smart cities, and energy-storage applications. It also aims to strengthen regional collaboration and promote practical solutions that support carbon neutrality, circular economy development, and sustainable communities across ASEAN.

Objectives

  • To exchange knowledge and recent advancements in biomass and biochar technologies among ASEAN and international experts.
  • To explore value-added applications of biomass and biochar in environmental remediation, water treatment, clean energy, construction materials, and energy storage.
  • To promote sustainable biomass management, circular economy practices, and carbon-neutral technologies in the ASEAN region.
  • To strengthen collaboration among universities, research institutions, industries, and relevant stakeholders for future research and technology implementation.
  • To identify opportunities for translating research outcomes into practical solutions for sustainable community and industrial development.
