International Conference on Materials Science and Technology (MSAT) is recognized as one of the major series of conference in materials science, technology & engineering. The bi-annual conferences strive to be a premier international multidisciplinary conference providing an arena for all stakeholders from academics, researchers, industrial leaders and regulatory experts to share their latest research findings, to discuss novel applications and to identify the challenges that lie at the frontier of materials science.

For the first time, the 8th International Conference on Materials Science and Technology (MSAT-8) will be held in parallel with the 8th Thailand Metallurgy Conference (TMETC-8) to broaden the horizon of materials science and 2 special sessions called  “Thailand-Japan Polymer Initiative” and "Tribology Technical Session" in cluding the annual meetings of Thai Tribology Association (TTA) and Thai Corrosion of Metals and Materials Association (TCMA). This event presents simple opportunities for participants to explore future collaborative activities and to network with their peers.

1st Thai Tribology Association Annual Conference and Exhibition
Monday, December 15, 2014 @ Swissotel Le Concorde, Bangkok, Thailand

Organized by
National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC)
     Thai Tribology Association (TTA)

Introduction
Tribological technology is critical for increasing material life, optimizing process performance, reducing waste and energy, and minimizing cost. Despite its tremendous contribution, Tribology attracts little attention from the manufacturing industry in Thailand. As a result, Thai Tribology Association (TTA) has been established in order to raise industry recognition of Tribology and acts as an important bridge between industry and academic research. Our mission is to promote, develop, innovate and transfer research and development in advanced Tribology technology to Thai manufacturing industry through collaborations with top-rated experts and research institutes. TTA consists of top-rated domestic researchers and collaborates with the international experts in Tribology. Particularly, TTA is connected with The International Research Group of Tribology in Manufacturing (IRGTM), which is a global network of Tribologists.

Thai Tribology Association or TTA is the national leader of advanced Tribology employing toprated researchers, promoting leading-edge research activities, and maintaining strong partnerships with Thai manufacturing industry. TTA strongly believes that advanced technology (knowledge and know-how) and innovation (novel products, processes, and applications) in Tribology will be crucial in the sustainable growth of Thai manufacturing industry. TTA is a central resource for advanced technology and innovation in Tribology for Thai manufacturing industry and expands industrial partners for technology enhancement and innovation. TTA provides a variety of supports and activities that Thai manufacturing industry can benefit from. There are three main activities that are the focus of TTA: (1) research and development, (2) knowledge and skills development, and (3) network development.

At MSAT-8, TTA will have an annual conference and exhibition providing information and activities of TTA. TTA will also receive a great honor from Prof. Kuniaki Dohda, President of IRGTM to introduce future activities between TTA and IRGTM.
