The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), participated in Death Fest to showcase innovations enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens. Among the featured solutions were the Gunther device, Med Logger, Gate, Rachel, and 3D-printed insoles for dress shoes and sandals, each tailored to the specific needs of older adults.

The event was a collaborative effort led by Peaceful Death, The Cloud, and Choojai & Friends, with significant support from key partners such as the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), the Thai Red Cross Society, the Department of Medical Services, the National Health Commission Office, the National Health Security Office, Cheevamitr, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital (Thai Red Cross Society), and the Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives (Suan Mokkh Bangkok).

Embracing the theme “Death is not only about the day we die, but a meaningful life begins with how well we prepare today,” Death Fest provided a wide range of activities to facilitate understanding and peaceful acceptance of death. Participants could engage in panel discussions offering diverse views on mortality, hands-on workshops for emotional and practical preparation, and interactive zones encouraging meaningful engagement before the end of life.

Death Fest took place at IMPACT Exhibition Hall 6 from March 21 to 23, 2025, operating between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM. The event provided all attendees with a chance to discover innovative solutions and participate in activities aimed at broadening perspectives and fostering meaningful living throughout life.
