On November 29-December 1, 2019 at Impact Exhibition Hall 5, IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani. MTEC had participated in THAILAND RUBBER EXPO 2019 and presented its research results from natural rubber, such as Lomar, Parafit, Para Walk and AED Trainer.
Dr. Somboon Otrawanna, a MTEC’s senior researcher of Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing Research Group, had presented the CAE 3D, a computer-aided engineering software at the METALEX 2019 under the concept of New Smart Technologies.

MTEC had organized the Para Grip Gloves activity to join the national Children’s Day at Sirindhorn Science Home on January 8-9, 2020. This event had brought enjoyment and science knowledge to more than 4,300 students from 14 schools.
Dr. Suvit had conformed to the government policy to stop using plastic bags starting from January 1st , 2020 by synergizing the public sector and Thai SMEs to develop the 100% biodegradable plastic bags from tapioca starch to realize the BCG Economy.
Dr. Danu Prommin, MTEC’s researcher, has presented M-Wheel, an electronic device to turn a normal wheelchair into a motorized wheelchair at the press conference of the Maker Faire Bangkok 2020: The Future We Make. This event will be held during January 18-19, 2020 at the Street Ratchada.
On December 13, 2019 at Mueang District Office, Bueng Kan, a group of representatives of the National Metal and Materials Technology Center had visited the Bueng Kan Rubber Day 2020 event and listened to the problems from the local rubber farmers
The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) had participated in the 12th International Conference on Thailand Metallurgy (TMETC12), which hosted by the Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University during November 7-8, 2019 at the Convention Center, Chiangmai Grandview Hotel.
On November 13, 2019 at the Crystal room, Century Park Hotel, The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Ministry of High Education, Science, Research and Innovation together with Thai Bioplastics Industry Association (TBiA) and its alliance have joined in the press conference of Bio-Compostable Plastic Bag. This product is a research result of the collaboration between MTEC and SMS Corporation Co.,Ltd. to develop bioplastic formulas to be processed into plastics with enhanced engineering properties and suitable for blowing into a thin film.
