MTEC, NSTDA Joins “HomePro Circular Economy Movement” to Advance the Circular Economy under the Concept “CHANGE FOR BETTER LIVING”

July 22, 2026, HomePro Bang Bua Thong Branch, Bangkok:

The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), NSTDA, was represented by Dr. Witchuda Daud from the Plastic Technology Research Team (PLTT) within the Advanced Polymer Technology Research Group (APT). They participated in the “HomePro Circular Economy Movement” as a partner in advancing circular economy practices and sustainable materials management. The event, themed “CHANGE FOR BETTER LIVING,” aimed to increase awareness about resource efficiency and demonstrate that meaningful change can start with small actions at home. HomePro created the HomePro Circular Economy Ecosystem, a comprehensive circular economy platform that links various stages of resource use—from promoting repair before disposal and collecting used products back from customers to proper materials management and developing recycled materials into new or eco-friendly products. This system aims to maintain resource circulation and maximize their lifespan.

MTEC’s involvement in the event highlights NSTDA’s commitment to supporting industry and business through expertise in materials science and circular economy design. These skills are crucial for enhancing material value, minimizing waste, and optimizing resource use. Collaboration across science, technology, and business is key to advancing Thailand toward a more sustainable future. Repurposing used materials not only lessens environmental impacts but also promotes long-term improvements in quality of life for individuals and society.
