MTEC and METI jointly host a meeting to promote digital collaboration via the Ouranos Ecosystem Platform

at M506 Meeting Room, National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province,

          The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), hosted a meeting focused on “Development of Digital Cooperation through the Ouranos Ecosystem” in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The METI delegation was led by Mr. TATEISHI Hironori, Director of the Division of Digital Strategy and International Affairs, and Mr. SUZUKI Kakeru, Assistant Director and Digital Strategy Officer for the Digital Economy Division. MTEC’s team included Dr. Chanchana Thanachayanon, Director of Environment Research Group; Dr. Nudjarin Ramungul, Research Specialist, Environment Research Group; and Dr. Witchuda Daud, Researcher, Plastics Technology Research Team, Advanced Polymer Technology Research Group. Representatives from the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Trade of Thailand, and the Office of Industrial Economics also participated in the meeting.

 

           The meeting aimed to discuss the utilization of the Ouranos Ecosystem platform, which is being developed and promoted by METI. This platform is designed to transmit chemSHERPA data (Chemical Information Sharing and Exchange under Reporting Partnership in the Supply Chain). The objective is to establish an efficient, standardized data infrastructure that supports various types of data transmission. This system is designed for use in Japan and may eventually expand to ASEAN countries. Participants actively shared insights and suggestions, fostering discussions that could soon lead to potential collaborative activities.
