
On February 21, 2025, the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), led by Dr. Thipjak Na Lampang, Head of the Sustainable Wood Engineering Team, in collaboration with the Lampang Provincial Agricultural Council, the Lampang Federation of Industries, and partner organizations, visited PL Wood Factory Co., Ltd. and Charoensaeng Co., Ltd., two prominent wood and bamboo processing factories in Lampang Province.
The visit aimed to investigate the manufacturing of wooden kitchenware and different wood and bamboo processing methods. It also aimed to create strategies for boosting product value following the 2nd Agricultural Development Plan (2025–2030), which focuses on elevating the value of agricultural products and enhancing farmers’ incomes.
The delegation also addressed the conversion of bamboo into engineered wood boards intended for kitchenware and structural uses. Their goal is to create eco-friendly innovations that meet the needs of contemporary industries. This partnership represents a pivotal advancement for Lampang’s wood and bamboo processing sector, merging industrial know-how, technology, and agricultural expertise to foster sustainability and enhance the competitiveness of local businesses. MTEC is instrumental in offering technical advice and technological support, which boosts the wood and bamboo processing industry while ensuring environmental responsibility and adherence to circular economy principles.
