
On February 25, 2025, in Meeting Room 302 at the Pollution Control Department, the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) teamed up with the Pollution Control Department to host a meeting to boost research and development collaboration. The meeting featured Ms. Kanchalee Navikphoom, the Deputy Director-General of the Pollution Control Department, who and her team warmly welcomed the MTEC delegation. The MTEC team was led by Assoc. Prof. Toemsak Srikhirin, the MTEC Director, along with Dr. Sitthisuntorn Supothina and Dr. Sarawut Lertpalangsanti, both Deputy Directors, who joined a group of researchers that discussed different strategies and ideas for pushing forward the Green Industry.
The meeting focused on the development of environmental technologies and innovations, including waste re-utilization and recovery (End of Waste), electronic waste management (E-waste), advancements in the plastic circular economy, the establishment of a national environmental database, the development of key performance indicators and best practices, and Green Rubber Innovation Provider, which involves the development of odor-free cup lump and block rubber for environmentally friendly applications.


This collaboration aims to drive MTEC’s technologies and innovations toward real-world applications while supporting the Pollution Control Department in adopting technology-driven solutions for environmental and pollution management. The partnership is expected to enhance pollution control strategies with tangible outcomes, aligning with the missions of both organizations in advancing sustainable national development.
