On February 21, 2025, at the Ballroom of the Century Park Hotel in Bangkok, the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) and NSTDA, in collaboration with the Innovation Division for Raw Materials and Downstream Industries of the Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM), organized a seminar titled “Upgrading Thai Industries with Innovation and Recycle/Upcycle Technology for the Circular Economy Market.” The event was officially opened by Ms. Araya Sailaphet, the Deputy Director-General of DPIM, and welcomed over 127 participants from government agencies, the private sector, and industrial entrepreneurs. The seminar provided updates on trends, policies, and regulations relating to the circular economy, as well as insights into recycling and upcycling technologies that can enhance business opportunities and global market competitiveness.

Currently, many developed nations have set circular economy standards, which can create both opportunities and trade barriers for Thai entrepreneurs. To address this, DPIM has extended this initiative for a third year, with NSTDA acting as a consultant to promote industrial growth focused on producing eco-friendly products that meet international standards.
Entrepreneurs interested in participating in the project can apply for in-depth consultations with experts and explore opportunities for the commercial adoption of recycling and upcycling technologies. This initiative aims to enhance competitiveness and expand market access within the global circular economy.
