The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), part of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), asserted its leadership in health innovation by unveiling technologies tailored to modern needs at “Thailand Healthcare 2025: A Better Life – Well-being for Every Generation.” Organized by Matichon Group and its partners, the event was held from June 26–29, 2025, at Samyan Mitrtown. Now in its 17th year, it stands as Thailand’s premier health fair, renowned for its scale and impact.

Over the course of the four-day event, MTEC–NSTDA unveiled seven standout innovations aimed at driving proactive healthcare and improving the quality of life for all age groups in Thailand. Among the featured technologies, several key highlights captured significant interest from attendees, including:
- Rachel: Everyday Edition is a bodysuit crafted to support muscles, enhance balance, and lower injury risk, making it suitable for both seniors and working adults.
- Gunther–Janine: An innovative fall detection system integrated with a mobile application for real-time alerts.
- MediAlarm and ToiletSense – AI-enabled devices designed to monitor user behavior and identify irregularities in medication adherence and bathroom habits. They provide immediate notifications through LINE.
- Smart Wardrobe Purifier – A wardrobe and display cabinet integrated with the AutoFlow PuriTech System to purify air, thereby reducing PM2.5 particles, mold, and bacteria.
- ThaiSook Watch – A health monitoring device that synchronizes with the ThaiSook application to facilitate comprehensive lifestyle tracking.
- Power Lift Bed – An intelligent bed designed for elderly and bedridden patients, facilitating easier sitting and alleviating the burden on caregivers.

A highlight of the event was the Better Life Talk on the main stage, where researchers from MTEC–NSTDA joined private-sector partners to share insights and inspirations on innovations designed to meet real-world needs.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the talk “MIKE – The Guardian AI: Intelligent System for the Elderly” garnered enthusiastic feedback from attendees. Dr. Korkiat Sedchaicharn, researcher at MTEC–NSTDA, and Mr. Ratthanin Watsheeranon, Executive Director of P.S. Taweesub Co., Ltd., recounted the development journey of MIKE — a system integrating ToiletSense and MediAlarm—smart devices that adapt to user behaviors and issue discreet alerts for abnormalities that arise. The speakers also emphasized the system’s potential for wider adoption in elderly care homes, hospitals, and senior living communities.

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the session “Health Innovation 2025: A ‘Gift’ for All Genders and Generations” was led by Dr. Sarawut Lertpalangsanti, Deputy Executive Director of MTEC–NSTDA. He outlined the vision behind the Smart Wardrobe Purifier —a collaborative initiative with the private sector aimed at developing health-oriented products that blend high performance with user-centered design. Joining him was Mr. Phidet Chawaldit, Executive Director of SB Design Square Co., Ltd., who offered insights from a business perspective and detailed the product’s market rollout strategy.
Also featured on the main stage, Dr. Decho Surangsrirat, researcher at NSTDA, introduced the ThaiSook Watch and ThaiSook application—personalized health tracking tools designed to support diverse wellness needs. He emphasized user data security as a cornerstong for advancing sustainable, proactive healthcare.
Across the two-day conference, speakers underscored that the success of health innovation hinges on collaboration among researchers, private-sector partners, and end-users—united by a shared commitment to safety, privacy, and meaningful impact on people’s lives.

MTEC–NSTDA affirms that its participation in Thailand Healthcare 2025 marks a meaningful advancement in driving national health research initiatives. By fostering innovation that benefits Thai citizens across all age groups, the organization embodied the event’s core vision: “Well-being for Every Generation.”
