MTEC, NSTDA, in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), organized a seminar titled ‘Dialogue on Life Cycle Approach to Addressing Plastic Pollution.’ The seminar aimed to provide an overview of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), demonstrate the practical application of its principles and showcase best practices from stakeholders at various levels.

(September 17, 2024), at MTEC Building, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), through the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), and Nanjing Forestry University (NJFU), the People’s Republic of China, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on research and development cooperation. This MOU focuses on the “Transfer of Innovative Bamboo-Based Construction Material Technology to Reduce Environmental Impact.”

National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), NSTDA, in collaboration with the APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI), and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), recently hosted the APEC Workshop on “AI in Atmospheric Corrosion Assessment to Address Climate Change Impact.

Dr. Jitti Mungkalasiri, team leader of the Life Cycle Inventory and Data Applications for Sustainability and Trade Research Team at the Technology and Informatics Institute for Sustainability (TIIS), in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), organized an online seminar on “Life Cycle Approach to Plastic Pollution Management” via Webex.

MTEC-NSTDA organized the event “In-Depth PMUC Funding: How to Write Effective Project Proposals to Secure Funding and Achieve High Impact” to empower researchers with the skills to write compelling proposals that align with the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC) funding criteria.
