• “ThaiRoHS Alliance” was established in 2004 and the coorperative partnership has been strengthen between Thai governmental agencies, the ThaiRoHS Alliance (i.e. MTEC, Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Electrical and Electronic Institute (EEI)), and an industrial independent group and a governmental organization in Japan (i.e. Joint Article Management Promotion-consortium (JAMP) and Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (JEMAI)). The activities aim to promote information in relation to the management of chemical substances in products, and to assess the chemical chain of production through framework and various tools. This leads to the manifestation of product consistency and compliance with the requirements of the regulations in term of hazardous substances in products such as Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) – Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).
• Providing guideline for Thai entrepreneurs to develop their performance and support the compliance with environmental regulations of trading partners, along with establishing RoHS standard testing and analysis laboratory funded by the European Commission in Thailand.
