MTEC NSTDA organised a special seminar on “Precision finishing of metal 3D printed components”

the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Associate Professor Dr. Toemsak Srikhirin, Director of the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), and accompanied by MTEC representatives, actively participated in the Thailand Plastics Innovation Demonstration Day. The event was spearheaded by the Australian Embassy in Thailand as a part of the collaborative initiative, Mekong Plastics Innovation Alliance, between Thailand and Australia.

TCPC2023 (The 4th Thailand Corrosion and Prevention Conference: TCPC2023)

The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), a research institute under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) within the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, in conjunction with the Thai Corrosion of Metals and Materials Association, and CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., organized the 4th Thailand Corrosion and Prevention Conference (TCPC2023). The conference took place at the Amari Pattaya Hotel in Chonburi province from November 8 to 10, 2023.

MTEC organised activities as part of the Newton Fund was supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering through the Engineering X Transforming Systems through Partnership programme, UK and the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMU-C), Thailand

MTEC, led by Dr. Anchalee Manonukul, the leader of Smart Alloys and Manufacturing Research Team, conducted activities as parts of a research project titled “Novel low-modulus titanium alloy for biomedical applications” with funding from the Newton Fund Scheme from the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, under the Transforming Systems through Partnership program and the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMU-C), Thailand.

MTEC held a meeting with EGAT Mae Moh to discuss R&D leading to enhancing the efficiency of power generation

On May 24, 2022, at Thailand Science Park, Pathumthani,
the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) held a meeting with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) Mae Moh Power Plant in Lampang Province to discuss collaboration on research and development to enhance power generation efficiency. The event was presided over by Dr. Kritsada Prapakorn, Deputy Executive Director of MTEC, and Mr. Atthaphon Im-nam, Director of Maintenance of Mae Moh Power Plant. In the meeting, MTEC research team had presented its research relating to an enhancement of of power generation efficiency as follows.
