MTEC had delivered a prototype of the Remote-controlled Cart to Prasat Neurological Institute to support the medical staff for coping with the COVID-19 pandemic

Dr. Kritsada Prapakorn, Executive Director of MTEC, together with Dr. Korkiat Sedchaicharn, Senior Researcher of Coating and Coating Technology Laboratory, Metal and Manufacturing Process Research Group, had delivered a prototype of the Remote-controlled Cart to Dr. Thanin Wechapinan, Director of Prasat Neurological Institute, and Dr. Tasanee Tantaritthisak, Deputy Director of PNI, to use in the COVID-19 Ward section for the safety of the medical staff and patients.

MTEC had delivered Face Shields to 14 hospitals to protect against the COVID-19 pandemic

The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) and the Personalized Devices Research Team, Biofunctional Materials and Devices Research Group had collaborated with the Modern Rail and Transportation Technology Research Center to produce 370 Face Shields made from high-density polyethylene. HDPE is a lightweight medical material, produced by Water Jet Cutting process, that can be cleaned and reused. The production was done at Thai Machine Products Company Limited.

Donation of Surgical Facemask in response to COVID-19 Pandemic

The National Metal and Materials Technology Center, the National Science and Technology Development Agency, received the donation of 20,000 surgical facemasks to fight against Covid-19 pandemic, from United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) shipped from Dongguan Tailing Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., P.R. MTEC joined the public-private partnerships to boost the capabilities of the Thai Rail Industry

Dr. Julathep Kajornchaiyakul, Executive Director of MTEC, took part in the signing ceremony of the public-private partnership to enhance the technological capabilities of the Thai rail industry. The agreement aimed to support technology transfer, research and development, rail system standards, rail industry, testing and experimentation, and human resource development. The Thai rail industry also aimed to improve the supply chain of the rail products, the capacity of testing and analyzing the railroad systems, the production of domestic parts (local content) and the manufacturing of railway.

MTEC and C.P. ALL had cooperated in Green Packaging Innovation

The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) had signed an agreement with C.P. ALL Public Company Limited, CP Foodlab and CPRAM Company Limited to develop green packaging for food products with the aim of improving the capabilities of Thailand to become the center of food innovation in Asia. The signing ceremony was presided over by Mrs. Suwipa Wanasathop, Assistant Director of NSTDA. Staff members from the Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing Research Group also joined the signing ceremony.
